WEEK-END RAINFALL
AN INCH IN THE BOROUGH
HEAVIER FALL AT EDGECUMBE
The welcome rain which lias fallen throughout the district constitutes the most consistent wet spell experienced for over three months.
[ In the Borough the rain recorded as under: Saturday .42, Sunday .39, this morning .10 a total of .91. For the month to date Mr H. Muscutt reports that 1.41 has been measured making a total of 2.95 for the year.
At Edgecumbe Mr Andrew McLean reports that in five days end* ed this morning 1.62 inches had l fallen in that area. The total for the month was 2.21 inches.
