FREAK PLANTS PRODUCED

SURPRISE FOR LOCAL GARDENER.

To plant a row of pea seeds and see them develop into sturdyyoung bean plants! of the dwarf variety, and yield thereon peapods with bean centres, was the novel experience of Mr C. Buttermore, of the local post office staff. A plant exhibited in this office last Saturday, showed the genuine bean plant bearing definite pea pods, which were loaded with healthy bean seeds of the harricot breed. The freak was a surprise to the grower who states that he bought the usual seed, and was amazed to siee the manner of their growth.
