A committee consisting of Messrs T. Jordan (chairman of the National Patriotic Council). R. H. Nim- . ~i'jno (deputy-chairman), B. H. Jacobs and C. Todd has been appointed by the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, to make full inquiry and report to him on the proposal to establish a separate Waikato Patriotic Council, thus severing the connection with the parent Auckland body. The committee is to hear evidence at Hamilton, Rotorua, Whakatane, «nd Tauranga. The hearing at Hamilton is fixed for Wednesday afternoon, February 25. A special meeting of the Waikato Zone Committee is to be held at Hamilton to draw up its case for presentation to the committee. The meeting will also consider other important matters.
