PATRIOTIC EFFORT
LADIES SPECIAL EFFORT APPEAL TO PUBLIC The quota allotted to the Whakatane Borough and l district in the All' Purposes Appeal of £500,000 is £2300 and 1 the ladies of the Ladies Patriotic Committee have agreed to find £500 of this slum. As from November last and 1 until December, 1942, the Patrio- ' tic shop in. the Strfoind is handing- over all its proceeds.' to the Patriotic Fund and is now seeking the help and co-operation of the general publi'c. Any articles suitable for raffling are asked for by the ladies who have comtmenced their task vigorously.
