In Buried 1 Forest Workers who were excavating recently for the building' of the new post office in Rora Street, Te Kuiti. discovered perfectly preserved timber from an eld forest. After digging through successive layers of silt and pumice, the contractors have now reached the floor of the original valley, "which has been covered for centuries. Geologists will doubtless; be interested in the type of timber and the formation of the valle.v floor.
