HONOURED

A most enjoyable evening was given at the home of Mr and Mrs E. Cranswick, Nukuhou North, last Saturday in honour of their daughter, Nurse Patricia Cranswick, of the Cook Hospital, Gisborne, who had reached her majority. The party was also in honour of their son, John who is a Wireless Telegraphist in the Navy and on leave. The dining and drawing rooms were decorated with bowls of beautliful dahlias and carnations.

Flag 500 was played and much enjoyed. A dainty supper was served, the birthday cake taking pride of place. Mr J. L. Burnett in a happy speech, wished Miss Cranswick a happy birthday and continued success in her career, and also extended to Mr John Cranswick the best luck and success in his future life.

Musical honours concluded a most

pleasant evening
