SUPPLEMENTARY CAPITAL LEVY

PAYMENT BY COUNTY COUNCIL

A letter from the Bay of Plenty: Hospital Board dated December 24; received at yesterday's meeting of the Whakatane County Council enclosed a debit note for £126 18s 6d being a supplementary Capital levy in terms of Section 53 Hospital and Charitable Aids Act, 19261 The* Board advised that the ironing equipment at the hospital was totally inadequate to cope with the volume of work passing through the laundry and the opportunity was taken of purchasing a steam ironer and accessories for £214.
