FINANCIAL AID FOR RESERVISTS The Minister of Finance, Mr Nash, announces that the Sol j diers' Financial Assistance Board will make provision to assist members of the National Military Reserve who are being! mobilised) for full-time stervice. This decision by the Government will enable National Reservists to obtain financial help in meeting commitments, such as rent, mortgage, interest, and insurance premiums.

In carrying out this policy the board does noit, however, aim at making up the difference between civilian and soldier's pay. National Reservists, mobi'liised, will not pay social or national security tax on their military income, though the Social Security Fund receives! its proportion frorm State funds.
