LOCAL MEN REPORTED Officially reported in casualty lisfts are the following- men from the Whakatane district:— Killed in Action Armstrong, Pte A. W., Whakatane Walker, Pte J. R., Whakatane Wounded! Hatcher, Pte A. K., Whakatane Thomas, L/c G. 8., Te Puke Hancock, Pte W. G., Whakatane Bethell V. A., Paengaroa In Wednesday's issue it was reported that A. L. Hiill had been killed in action. The initials were incorrect being T. G. and mot A. L.
