ASSOCIATION'S LOSS
PASSING OF THREE MEMBERS
Prior to business being commenced at the annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Winter Show Association on Wednesday night, the president, Mr A. J. Canning, spoke of ithe Association's great loss in the passing of three prominent and valuable members, Lieut. A. G. Hultquist, M.P., Mr J. W. Sumner and Mr Geo. Rand. Lieut Hultquist had' been an energetic member and had worked for Whakatane as no other representative had ever done, and' bad always been anxious to give every assistance to the Association of which 1 he had 1 been a Paitron. Mr Sumner had been a great worker for the district, never sipiaring himself in his work for the public interest, while Mr Rand had been an old friend and' great toiler who was ever at call to further the interests of the Association.
