HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY'S

decision

ALTERNATIVE AUTUMN

EXHIBITION

At the meeting of the "YVhakatanc Horticultural Society last week, it was deckled in view of the lateness of the season and the limited interest shown by the general public, to postpone the Summer flower show and to concentrate upon an Autumn exhibition which would feature Chrysanthemums, dahlias and cut flowers. This fixture will be in March when it is hoped there will be every prospect of stimulating fresh interest and giving an exhibition which will be worthy of the town.

Mrs C. G. Caisley was appointed to fill the- position of secretary which was left vacant owing to the resignation of Miss Gwen Kent, who has held the position for some years.
