ONE VEHICLE OVERTURNS

OCCUPANTS ESCAPE INJURIES

At about 5.30 p.m; on Saturday a collision between two cars occurred near the junction of the main Rotorua and Tauranga, highways, fortunately the four people involved escaping injury.

Edward J. Patterson with two passengers were proceeding to Whakatane from the Rangitaiki factory, and the other car driven by Jolm Winetu, emerged from the Tauranga toad. Mr Patterson's car was struck on the side, rose on two wheels and. OAving to the pronounced camber on the road, failed to right itself to topple over. The Maori driver was alone.
