TERRITORIAL TRAINING

WORK AT WHAKATANE VISIT OF ADJUTANT Thei next parade of the local company of territorials is scheduled for Sunday next when range practices are to be fired. Instrnctions have •been received that this year with new recruits before using .303 ammunition on the range the territorials will fire their grouping with .22 cartridges. If a marksman qualifies then he is trained with the heavier ammunition, while if he does not then further instruction given with the .22.. It is expected, that the Aldjutant of the Regiment, Lieut. Goddard, of Paeroa, will visit Whakatane at the week-end and be present at the parade.
