HILLCREST FIRE RISK
INVESTIGATION OF FIRE SUPERINTENDENT
Recently Superintendent F. "TT- Stewart, of the "Whakatane Volunteer Fire Brigade, investigated the water supply available lor fire fightitog on Hillcrest, doing! so in view of concern which', from time to timet, has been expressed by owners of homes in that area. As a result of his inspection the Superintendent found that the Brigade would be able to reach with water practically every house. Water was available for the brigade's 1 pumpingapparatus and Mr Stewart expressed surprise at the pressure of water available.
