FUNCTION AT ROTORUA

At the Native Land Court, Rotorua, on Friday last Mr L. R. Brown, who for the past seven and a half years has been attached to the Department at Whakatane was. entertained by fellow members of the service, a special gathering being arranged. The Registrar of the Native Land Court, Mr C. V. Fordham, presented Mir Brown with a tea set and referred to the excellent service he had given in the district and the popularity he had earned in man? spheres of public and social affairs. He wished him every happiness and success in his new position at Hastings.
