DRIVE FOR HONORARY
MEMBERS
CITIZEN'S COMMITTEE MEETS
At a meeting of the recently appointed Citizens Committee to support the Boys' Band held oi\ Wednesday night it was decided to canvas the town and surrounding districts within the next few week(s to enrol honorary members and solicit donations. The Band, is to render * few items in the town on Friday afternoon, August 22.
The convenor has asked us to publish the following reasons why sup oort should be given the band::—-
1. The pleasure derived from the imisic rendered.
2. The splendid past record of the Senior Band.
3. The present band consists ol *0 keen boys with a waiting list o (en.
4. Thirteen members of the Senior Band are on Active Service. 5. Voluntary services should be
encouraged.
6. Three members cycle over ten miles to practice.
