At Monday's meeting of the Borough Council His Worship the Mayor stated' that Cr J. Creeke and the town clerk, Mr* D. V. Saunders, had waited on residents at the Heads in regard to the proposed water supply. It had 1 been necessary to obtain the signatures of ten of the thirteen residents l to authorise a special loan, but only seven had signified their willingness to support the scheme. Thus the. proposal would have to be held

in abeyance.
