LOCAL MEN HONOURED

A well attended dance took place in the Tc T'cko Hall last Friday evening when-friends and residents gathered to farewell Ptes G. Wallcy and R. Boulden who are now on leave. Music was supplied by a loccfi group of musicians while Mr Taffy A.tkinson of Whakatane carried out the duties of M k C. Mr Eiivers made a presentation on behalf of the residents. Mr Atkinson on behalf of the Whakatane District Farewell Committee and Mr J. Johnston on behalf of the employees of the Uepango Sawmilling Coy.

Both men briefly responded. Dancing continued till a late hour,
