DEATH FROM INJURIES SGT. EL HOWELL Information has been received from Mrs W. B. Marr, Matat'a,. that her brother, Sergeant E. Howell, has died of injuries accid'entally received. Sgt. Howell; was well known in the Whaka-i tane district particularly in> Rugby circles being captain of the Rangitaiki representative fifteen and also< playing for the l . Bay of Plenty team on a number of occasions. KILLED IN ACTION News has also been receiived f that Fte. W. Craig has been killed in action. The only son of! Mrs M. Craig:, Poroporo, Pte 1 Craig left with the second echelon and the news! of hits deatiii is received with the deepest reH gret by a wide circle of friends.; Prior to his enlistmnet he was a prominent member of the local Pipe Band holding the 1 rank of 9rum Major.
