OHOPE ROAD BEACH
TROUBLE WITH CREEKS NEED FOR CULVERTS When estimates for the current year were being considered at yesterday's County meeting Cr H. C. McCready drew attention to the needi for a culvert to carry the stream near the Cabin. Cr A. F. McGougian considered that the work was necess&ry but that the stream at the other end of the beach was more urgently required. The engineer, Mr C. H. Brebner, considered that a pipe culvert would be risky owing to possible heavy seasi or rain and that a concrete culvert which he considered necessary would' cost some £300. The Works Committee is to make investigations.
