TROUBLE WITH CREEKS NEED FOR CULVERTS When estimates for the current year were being considered at yesterday's County meeting Cr H. C. McCready drew attention to the needi for a culvert to carry the stream near the Cabin. Cr A. F. McGougian considered that the work was necess&ry but that the stream at the other end of the beach was more urgently required. The engineer, Mr C. H. Brebner, considered that a pipe culvert would be risky owing to possible heavy seasi or rain and that a concrete culvert which he considered necessary would' cost some £300. The Works Committee is to make investigations.
