HELPING THE BAND

Sir, —Since penning my recent letter I have read with satisfaction that some of our Borough Council lors have re-opene.d the question of .the council's financial support tor the local brass band. No doubt the council will do what the public consider is the right thing at the next council meeting, namedy by giving generous support to those who are keeping our band going during these war years. Good luck to those councillors and their noticei of motion.. Yours etc., HOPEFUL.
