FAREWELL DANCE
AIRMAN AND SOLDIER ENTERTAINED FUNCTION AT KING ST. HALL ! Organised by the Borough Ladies' | Farewell Committee a dance was i held in the King Street Hall on Saturday evening at which farewell gifts were handed to Se/rgeant-Pilot T. H. Morgan and Private D. Stark. An enjoyable programme of dances had been arranged and the music was supplied free of chargei by Mrs K. Armstrong's orchestra. The dance was a success both socially and financially, a considerable sum , being obtained with which farewell gifts will be i>urchased for men of the services. During the programme His Worship the Mayor handed the guests of the evening fareAvell gifts, an<) in doing so extended to them best wishes for their well-being while overseas serving. He also took the opportunity of extending sympathy to those people who have had news of their sons, relations and friends who have bee;T included in the list of those missing.
