OPOTIKI CATTLE FAIR

Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their Autumn Cattle Fair at Opotiki on Thursday, March 13, when fully the advertised entry came forward. The quality and. condition of the yarding com-' pared more than favourably with that of last year. There was a representative attendance of buyers coming from as far as Waikato and Te Puke districts. Competition was exceptionally keen for all classes of quality cattle, at values firm at late rates, a total clearance being effected under tbch ammer. Realisations-: — Fat cows £6 to £6 10s; fat heifers £5 15s to £6 7s 6d; light fat heifers £4 6s to £5; bullocks £8 19s to £9 Is; 3 year steers £7 10s to £8; 2V 2 year steers £6 15s to £7 ss; 18 months P.A. steers £5 5s to £5 12s; 2 year Hereford steers £4 16s to £5; store cows £4 to £3 16s; 2 year Hereford heifers £4 15s tc £5; boner cows $2. 15s to £3; boner bulls £2 10s to £4.
