WHAKATANE CATTLE FAIR Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their Whakatane Cattle Fair when fully the advert tised entry cams forward. The quality was again up to the , usual standard and the condition if anything, better than last year. There was a representative attendance of buyers from Thames, Auckland, Waikato, Kotorua and T'e Puke. Competition was keen for all classes of male cattle with values exceeding last vear's rates. All classes of fat cattle sold under steady competition. Quotations:
Fat cows £7 to £7 12s; medium sorts £5 to £6; fat heifers, medium sorts £7 to £7 12s (id; Hereford and P.A. heifers £5 to £5 15s; Hereford heifers, fresh condition £5 15s to £6; 3% year Hereford and P.A. steers' fresh condition £8 15s to £9
