PROGRAMME OF INGLESIDES CALEDONIAN SOCIETY'S INNOVATION The Whakatane Caledonian Society, with a view to entertaining its' members not in the immediate vicinity of Whakatane town, decided this year to institute a series of district Inglesides, which are to go under the name of Goodwill Inglesfides. whole basis of the socials will be upon a general endeavour to carry the aims and: objects of the Society—viz., the fostering -of Scottish customs and traditions—to outlying districts jnany of which have not had the pleasure of enjoying a true Scottish nicht. A schedule of dates ,has been drawn up, but it must be borne in mind that these are only approximate as it must be realised that it may be impossible to adhere strictly to the list set out owing to the unsettled state of the country and the number of pressing public occasions that are likely to arise. However, the following programme will be adhered to as closely as possible:— T'e Teko, March 12; Taneatua,, April 7; E'dgecumbe, May 5: Waimana, August 4; Otakiri, September '8; Matata, October 13; Awakeri, November 10. Tlie dates during June and July have been left open for the holding of further Inglesides the arrangements for which have been left at the discretion of the Chief, Pipe Major and secretary. The Society particularly wishes to make it understood that the ordinary monthly Ingleside will be held at Whakatane as usual on the last Friday in each month.
