The number which has just been released from the printers and is now available at Armstrong's Music Shop is entitled "Sons of the Diggers" and attractively; printed is AH outstanding composition, of which. Whakatanc can be proud. No doubt all music lovers will be familiar with the air before! loing, and will enjoy the appropriate and stirring words which are as follows: "This country of oursi is a hundred years old, As a nation were only a pup. But the breeding is there for it came from John Bull, The bulldog who never gives up. We will do all we can to give Hitler a crack, That will last him for ever Amen And what our fathers did before We can do again. Tho' war we abhor in the general \ way, We're just poor country lads when at home, . Now we've something to fight for— a heritage dear, For which anywhere proudly we'll roam, And if Egypt's sand and her flies we must eat . ' While we pray for a small drop of rain, Well, what our fathers did before as We can do again. Chorus.
