PARADE OF TROOPS

•FAREWELL TO MEN ON LEAVE ARRANGEMENTS FOR TOu MORROW Troops of the reinforcements now •on leave are to be farewelled at a civic function to-morrow at 12.15 p.m. when a parade is to take place similarly to previous occasions. Maori and pattella members of the reinforcements are asked to parade .at the Rock at 11.45 a.m. and at the same time returned soldiers are asked to be present. The troops and ex-servicemen, headed by the Pipe Band will move off at noon and march to the Winter • Show Buildings where farewell addresses will be delivered by. t.h'e Mayor (Mr B. S. Barry), the chairman of the County Council (Mr J. L. Burnett) and the president of the U.S.A. after which presentations "will be made to the soldiers.
