, *C9f. j DOMAIN BOAR 6 T RATION FUNDS FROM COUNTY COUNCIL, In deciding that a donation of £100 l)c made to the newly formed Ohope D o 111 a i n Board's funds for the IJJ4I-42 year, this to be expsndred in maintenance including dressing sheds and water supply, ihoU liakatane County Council yesterday recommended that the Board make application to the Lands and Survey Department to take over the administration of all Grown Ohope reserves. The Council Finance Committee' stated that itj would be pleased to discuss these matters with the board.
In reply to Cr L. W. Luxton the chairman stated that the donation madei was considerably less than the average amount spent by the council on the Ohope reserves annually. He added that he understood iihat the Borough Council would make a donation towards the funds. Stating that the expenditure required from now on would be greater than, hitherto the chairman pointed out that other reserve controls should not consider the council's donation as a precedent. Ohope was very popular and used much more than most, reserves and therefore would require more maintenance.
