Did you know that New sea serpent was seen off East Cape by officers of S.S. Rotomahana in broad daylight on July 24, 1891. Maximum girth was 10 to 12 feet . . it was about 30ft long, and like a huge eel, but having two large fins each 10ft long. It appeared within 100 yds of the ship.
