OBITUARY

MRS M. S. KEDGELY

On Friday las': the death occurred of Mrs Leila Margaret Kedgely, wife of Mr M. S. Kedgely, of Ota-> kiri, at the early age of 37 years. The late Mlrs Kedgely had been in ill health for some time and became more seriously ill some three

weeks ago

Her death will leave the Otakiri people with a deep sense of loss* the deceased lady having been extremely, popular in the community and taking an active interest in all affairs for the betterment of the distrcit. Her interest in school matters, Mr Kedgely being the master of the Otakiri school, and her venthusiasm in Women's Institute affairs will be greatly missed arid a large circle of friends mourn her loss.

The late Mrs Kedgely is, survived by her husband and two children, one being aged seven years and the other being an infant of six months.

The funeral look place at the Whakatane cemetery on Monday, there being a large number present to paj r their respects at the 1 graveside. The service was conducted by the Rev. J. H. Starnes, 8.A., while members of the Olakiri School Committee acted as pall bearers.
