FAREWELL TO POPULAR TEACHERS
FURTHER PAROA DEMON-* STEATIONS
Further evidence of tlie respect and popularity which Mr and Mrs W. M. Clark, for sixeteen years in charge of the Paroa Native School, have enjoyed in the Paroa district was demonstrated on Monday evening when ex-pupils of the school: entertained a large gathering in the Hokuwhitu Atu Hall. Mr' and Mrs Clark were presented with an inscribed silver salver.
The Hokuwhitu Atu Troupe was responsible for able exhibitions of inspired hakas and waiatas" and among the highlights of the evening was the presentation by Akuhata Kitingi of a .vaiata Avliich he had composed for the occasion.
"More gestures to Mr and Mrs Clark include gifts from the Paroa. Girl Guides and Boy Scouts and many presentations, mainly greenstone ornaments, from individual Maoris of the Paroa district.
