EMERGENCY PRECAUTIONS SCHEME PERSONNEL

In a rcccnt communication to the Whakatane County Council the National Service Department advised that the Government had decided

to provide an armlet for issue to the personnel of the Einergency Precautions Scheme. The armlets, whiclj would be 15" by 3" would he made of white tenting material and would be imprinted with a crown and the letters E. P.S., both in redw It was advise! further that it may possibly be decided to obtain the armlets unstitched and/or unjoined, in which case organisations would be expected to arrange for committees of the Women's War Service Auxiliary to complete the bands. The council approved the recommendation that 500 armlets be procured .
