A particularly high standard mark ed the recital by the Ivnox Church choir on Tuesday evening, when excerpts from Handel's Messiah, anthems and carols were presented. There was a large attendance. Under the baton of Mr A. Boswell.. and Miss L. Hobin, L.R.S.M., at the organ, the choir revealed a fine appreciation and understanding and its performance throughout, according to critics up to the best metropolitan standard, reflected the merit of the work of Mr Boswell and Miss Hobin and the attention to practise of the choir members., Soloists were Mrs H. Drube, Mrs S. K. Schofield, Mrs F. Berry, Miss C. Schofield, Mr A. Boswell and Dr. Fletcher. Cole.
