SUCCESSFUL FAIR
WHAKATANE SCHOOL'S ENTERPRISE DRILL DISPLAY AND CONCERT With the object of raising money for the sports fund and dental clinic, the Whakatane School yesterday staged a very successful fair in the school grounds. Commencing with a jdrill display by pupils and including a° presentation ceremony to Mr Alan Stewart, an, old boy, a concert in the main building and various stalls and competitions, the fair attracted a good attendance. The stalls, competitions, etc,, were controled as follows:— Afternoon Tea: Mrs Sou they, Miss Bossward, Miss Burcli; Sweets; Miss O'Brien, Mrs H. Young, Mrs V. Timbs; Cake: Miss M.. Whiteside, Mrs Cairns, Mrs Gartshore; Produce: Miss Blythe, Mrs Waterhousc; Flowers: Miss Norris; Clock Croquet; Miss Cain; Clock Golf: Miss Graham and Mrs C. Thomas; Side Show: Mr Pyne; Ice Cream and Drinks: Mrs White Mrs Hansen, Mrs O'Rourke, and Mrs Rixon; Jumble Stall: Mrs S. Dunn; Concert: Miss Whiteside, Mr Seebeck (pianist); Mystic Ladies from the East Telling Fortunes: Miss N. Cutler, Miss J. Fuller, Miss El. Hall, Miss I. Martin, Miss H. BroAvn The concert programme included the following items-:—
