Temporary Unemployment. About thirty employees of tlics Paper Mills are at present unemployed. The majority are members of the packing department and thentemporary suspension is due to. a change from packing to reels. Though a definite date was not given it is understood that the men will resume shortly. Married Just Too Late. £5000 for Spitfire. The fact that the combined Wotmcn's Organisations of New Zealand were able to raise £3000 for the purpose of providing a 'Spitfire' for the Imperial Forces and no objection was recorded by the Government, raises the query as to why a similar scheme was not allowed to be introduced in this district during September.
