OHOPE DOMAIN BOARD.
FOLLOWING the investigatory meeting between County representatives, residents at Ohcpe Beach v and the Commissioner of Crown Lands la,st Wednesday, there appears to be no question as to the creation of the long-desired Ohope Domain Board, and a letter of recommendation to. that effect has alread;y gone forward, to the Minister of Internal Affairs, The Board once elected will proceed to put in hand a programme of progressive ajid protective measures which will control the beach and its vicinity at a time when, the influx of thousands of visitors make these both d.esirat)le and imperative. Fire* which could quickly reduce the glorious environs to a mass of blackened waste, will be rigidly dealt with and questions of public health and safety given the fullest consideration.
