PATRIOTIC APPEAL
ZONE ALLOCATIONS FIGURES AFFECTING THE BAY OF PLENTY At a meeting of tlie Standing Com xnittee of the Auckland Provincial Patriotic Council the Provincial Secretary reported that a highly successful conference of Zone and Inter-Zone Secretaries was held for' the purpose of discussing details of the All-iPurposes appeal of the Provincial fund. Reports presented in- ( dicated that a vigorous start had been made in most of the areas, and that the Zone committees were looking forward with confidence to raising their proportion of the £250000 which had been set as the Provincial Council's objective. Tlie following recommendations bearing on the appeal were submitted for the council's consideration(a) That the objective be re-allo-cated to Zones as follows;— Zone "A" (Northland) £27,500 Zone "B" (Rodney County) 2,500 Zone "C'" (Auckland Metropolitan) , 127,500 Zone "D" (Franklin County) 10,000 Zone "E" (Waikato) 50,000 Zone "F" (Rotorua) 12,500 Zone "G" (Bay of Plenty) 11,250 Zone "H" (Thames) 6,250 Zone "I" (Oliinemuri) 2,500 £250,000 (b) That the sum of £26,000 already subscribed by Zones to the Provincial fund be allocated to Zones as follows, and amounts oversubscribed on this basis be credited forward to the All-Purposes appeal of £250,000.
