NEW PROPAGANDA

MAINTENANCE OF MORALE New Plymouth may lead New Zealand in the adoption of a form of patriotic propaganda as yet barely touched in the Dominion, and then only in a haphazard manner—shop window displays. Careful plans have been laid for the opening of the scheme in ten days' by Mr S. Harris, who has acted with the co-op-ex-ation of the National Service Corps and has received the assistance of several large firms. The absence of this form of propaganda in New Zealand has been noted for some time by Mr Harris with concern and when the National Service Corps was formed he took the opportunity to place his views before the executive. The aim of the displays is either to emphasise some particular aspect or appeal desirect by the Government or to serve some general purpose in keeping up morale and the spirit of the people.
