POST OFFICE SITE

Sir, —Are any steps going to be - taken in regard to the post office? ~ < I have seen some correspondence in your paper about shifting the site < to the corner opposite the Hock.. When looking at it from a town planning point of view It seems to me to be just the place. Whakatane is bound to grow and the suggested! site -would be more 111 the centre of the business area. I suggest that the Chamber of Commerce take the matter up and call a public meeting.. The present post office would come in for other departments of the Government, such as Public Works, _ Native Department, Land and Sur- ' vey, Social Security,, etc. Yours etc., 4 BUSINESS MAN*
