THERE IS A RULE; among agricultural engineers to the effect that, if you multiply the width of the cut of your implement (in feet) by the working speed of. your tractor (in miles per hour) you will.obtain the approximate number of acres you can cover in a ten-hour dpy. Using this simple formula, you can easily calculate tlie number of extra hours YOU are spending in the fichl every :lay witl. the animal or tractor power you are now using . . . as compared with the speedy 4% miles per hour ■working speed of the Allis Chalmers. Then multiply the number of hours saved per day by the num her of ten-hour clays you now spend performing each of the draw " bar operations on your fann each year . . . and you will have the approximate number of hours or days you can save in a year. The yearly saving will surprise you. Look at" the accompanying table. . 5 - -uJ W ° ® g- - «- £ A ° 8 a ui rj . t—l ZJ tO 2 W •Si o j- oj !> • 4 Horses and 2-Bottom ;2Ufx 2 ... 4.66 11-Inch Plow - /6% . 3-Plow Steel Wheel Tractor i n cn , amis-Bottom- X 3 10.50 14-Inch Plow Rubber-Tired Model "WC" . . and 2-Bottom 2)4 * H-O® 34-Inch Plow _____ ■ Four good horses at best can plow less than half as much as either of the tractors. The Allis Chalmers, on the .other hand, pulling two bottoms at 4% miles an hour, actually plows more acres than does a larger, slower tractor, pull- . ing three bottoms at three miles an hour. You can cover the same amount of ground in less time, but you have done it with a smaller, less expensive tractor . . . one ■ thai you can better afford to operate. Treat yourself to a tractor . • • at a price you can afford to pay that will cover more acres in less time . • and do better jvork. Give yourself a tractor that will enable you to get in from the field earlier each day . . that will cover your ground faster, without wearing you out . . . a tractor that will give you spare time for leisure and for pursuing other profitable activities on your farm. The Allis Chalmers is the one .tractor that brings all these advantages to you. You owe yourself the shorter hours which it affords . . . and the freedom from "sun-up to sundown" days in the field.
