OHOPE LEARN TO SWIM POOL
Sir, — I would be pleased to : reassure your correspondent "Caution" This question of purity of water has been answered several times both to the' and to the County Council.
The Council has suclv confidence in the purity #f the water in ths stream' that several hundred pounds have been spent on a reservoir and pumping plant to supply drinking water to the picnic ground. This should satisfy' "Caution" and others ' as the Council Would hardly install a service prejudicial to the public health. As regards fresh water that . . question has also been answered and t© provide salt water is prohibitive and once a child learns to swim in the x>ool then it is safe in the sea. Yours etc., F. MAHY, Snr.
