PARCELS TO SOLDIERS
& DUTY FREE CONDITIONS RESTRICTION OF WEIGHT In a letter addressed to the Town Clerk, the Secretary of the National Patriotic Fund Board, Mr G. A'* Hayden, writing apropos parcels posted to New Zealand troops overseas, states: I have to inform you that parcels addressed to persons serving with the New Zealand Forces in the United Kingdom are admitted free of duty il addressed care of the New Zealand Base Post Oll'ice. Parcels for New Zealanders serving with, other forces will be admitted into the United Kingdom free of ( 7 (f,y if addressed care of the New Zealand War Services Association, 415 Strand, London, W.C.2. All parcels addressed to individual persons serving with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force or other Allied Forces in Egypt, with the exception of parcels containing tobacco, cigarettcs and liquor, are admitted into Egypt free of duty. It is noted that there is a restriction of 5 kilograms (11 lbs) placed upon the weight in respcet of all such I parcels.
