SWIMMING POOL AT OHOPE
Sir, —The County Council will be well advised to "keep clear'-' of having anything to do with the proposed swimming pool at Ohope. To have it there bristles w&th difficulties and, anyhow, it ridiculous to have a fresh water , bathing pool at a seaside resort. As was suggested long ago the. proper place to spend the £350 is at the school where hundreds could be taught (under the supervision of the teachers) to swim as against tens at Oliope. Mr Mahy in his an- ' xiety to have infinitely large numbers taught should fall in with this idea. ( Yours etc,, SENSE.
