ROADING AT OHOPE
Sir,—So "those few" are at it again. They just must have that beach bank road made, regardless of what it will cost or of what will "be the consequent increase ,in rates. And this to say nothing of the spoliation of the frontages of tlie settlement. The old track is now metalled and quite good—there is no need . for any other road. Then further, Mr Semple is let-* ting us know soon the route of the Whaka I ane-Opo t iki Highway. Over the hill to Ohope (along the beach, bank of sections 1 to 58) has appeared to him 100 per I (feel sure that is the route choose. This highway would cure all and satisfy those few begruntled ones. The County Council should await the Minister's decision. Yours etc., ' COMMON SENSE.
