FOURTH 81-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE YEAR TRE A S UREirS REPORT The Whakatanc Harbour Board held its fourth bi-monthly meeting of the year on Friday, Mr J. W. Sunnier, Chairman, presiding over Messrs W. R. Boon, J, A. Mitchell, G. A. Tickner, A. F. McGougan, G. T. Smith, G. A. Brabant and R. Riuldiclc. The Treasurer, Mr C. G. Lucas, reported on receipts to July 31, and compared these with the figures for the corresponding period last year. The comparison showed that wharfages were down by £402 8s 4d; towages had decreased by £101 and the reduction in rents amounted to £83 19s; rates showed an increase of £835 2s 9d; miscellaneous receipts were up by £8 13s 3d and recoverable expenditure advanced by £1-12 15s lid. The adverse receipt movement shown was £188 2s 9d.. Expenditure was shown to be in excess of last year's figure for the similar period by £17-1 16s 2d, this being accounted for principally by the new wharf construction and outlay on the Centennial Park. Accounts totalling £1784 7s 8d were passed for payment.
