ANNUAL FUNCTION HELD Canadian families' resident in Whakatane held their annual reunion and dinner in the Whakatane Hotel on Saturday night, about forty people attending. Short speeches were mode and the toast list honoured was "The King," proposed by Mr M. Barrowman; "Canada,-' J. Doust and "New Zealand," Mr G.; A. Murray, the Canadian National Anthem concluded the . function.
