FORMATION AT \YAI MAN A (Beacon Correspondent) There was a good attendance of Waimana, and Nukuhou North residents at the Waimana Hall when a branch Patriotic Committee, was formed. , 1 Mrs C. Wylde, in opening the meeting, explained the initial steps which had been taken in extending the work of the Provincial Council to the smaller inter-zone and branch groups. Mrs Wylde is the local representative on the inter-zone committee. Mr J. L. Burnett also spoke and detailed the efforts required from the respective districts. The committee elected comprises: Mr Robert Wardlaw, chairman; Mrs C/ Wylde, secretary; Messrs W. Addison, A. K. Bell, N. Macdonald.. Cranswick, Mitchell, Burnett and Mesdames King, Mitchell, T. Wardlaw and McConnell Snr. It was decided to hold card evenings in private homes and it dance onc6 a fortnight. , ; .
