PATRIOTIC FUNDS
INTEREST AT TE TEKO COMMITTEE FORMED A public meeting called to elect a Patriotic Committee, was held ii. the Te Teko Hall, on Wednesday evening, June sth, a representative gathering of Maoris and Pakehas attending. Mrs Sparks, who convened the meeting, explained the work which it was desired the committee should undertake. A discussion upon ways and means of raising money brought forth numbers of good suggestions. The first effort, is to be in the form of a dance held in the Tc Teko Hall on June 26th. The following committee was elected:—Chairman: Mr A. H. Jamie - son; vice-chairmen: Mr F. Butler, Mr Taute Edwards; secretary: Miss C. Belsey; delegate to district committee: Mrs Sparks; committee: Me.s dames Elvers, Foote, Pryor, Hunia. Miss S. E. Tweed. Messrs Brown, D. Macdonakl, Linsell, Meta, Nepi:i Hona, Sparks.
