EFFICIENT MILKING

SIMPLEX LOW-LINE MILKER,' MESSAGE TO FARMERS It has been the dream of milking machine manufacturers for a number of years past to design a maJ chine which would give satisfactory service with a minimum of parts when using a low vacuum, as it has long been recognised that a high vacuum is detrimental to the cows and liable to *cause Mastitis —the dread of all dairy farmers. After carrying out numerous experiments over a period of years, The Farm Equipment Company, have at last been successful in perfecting the Simplex Low Line Milker working on a low vacuum which is maintained at 7-8 points or what ever the dairy farmer desires—with the aid of low vacuum the Simplexj Plant reduces to a minimum the risk of Mastitis and the cows' teats are left in perfect condition after milking—sore' teats and hard udders being troubles of the past. With the low vacuum used it means only 7.8 points on the cows' teats and 14-15 between the back of the inflation and wall of cup—this method assures a more positive squeeze and collapse of the inflations and cleaner milking. The Simplex Low Line Milker does not break down the vacuum intermittently but maintains a low vacuum right throughout the period of milking—which is highly beneficial to the cows. The secret of the ■ Simplex Low Line Milker is the patented vacuum regulating valve which is of a most simple and effective design enabling the vacuum to be reduced to any desired point. Owing to its unique construction it requires prac tically no attention and will last for years. After the milk passes through the regulating valve it is drawn up io the releaser by aid of vacuum, all pumping and churning of milk being entirely done aAvay with. With the Simplex system extra cups may be employed enabling the users to cut down their milling time and reduce running costs, this is a big factor with the dairy farmers at the present time with reliable milkers being so hard to procure.
