FARM HAND ANSWERS THEFT CHARGE Norman Langley Rowland, aged 41, a farm hand, of O'takiri, appeared before Mr G. A. Brabant, J.P., in the Police Court yesterday charged with the theft of a parcel con-i taining two bolts of cream linen, of a total value of £7 17s Bd, the property of Ratlcliffe and Renner, of Auckland. The charge referred to April 29tli. Sergeant Farrell asked for a remand until May 24th, and this \\*as granted. Appearing for defendant, Mr G. Otlev applied for bail and this was allowed in self and one surety of £25
